Cake Directory TT

Privacy

Cake Directory TT uses first-party analytics to understand which directory pages, searches, profiles, and contact links are useful. We do not sell this information and we do not use it to place advertising.

By default we store a pseudonymous visitor cookie, cdtt_visitor_id, for 365 days from the last visit. It is first-party, HttpOnly, and SameSite Lax, and it is marked Secure on HTTPS. A separate session cookie, cdtt_session_id, starts a new visit after 30 minutes without activity. We also store the kind of device you use and a broad referrer category such as search, social, or another website. We do not store your IP address, a browser fingerprint, or the full address of the page that sent you here.

A recognized visitor is a browser that sent that cookie back. It is not a count of individual people. Events from a browser that does not keep the cookie are still included in totals, and they are left out of recognized-visitor figures.

There is no analytics banner. Analytics is on until you turn it off here. Turning it off sets cdtt_analytics_opt_out on this browser and public pages stop recording a visit. That choice is separate from a business account.

If you create a business account, we record the registration, onboarding, and approval steps for that account. We do not store passwords, verification codes, claim codes, or the contents of forms.

Business owners see totals for their own listing, such as profile views and contact clicks. They do not see individual visitors or sessions. Contact clicks show interest. They are not orders or enquiries.

Raw event rows are kept for 365 days, then deleted. Any IP address still stored from an earlier setting is cleared on the nightly cleanup.
